Valentines Day
I was asked by Dawson's kindergarten teacher if me and a couple moms could think up a couple of games for the kid's Valentine's party. I said sure and rounded up a couple more moms to come up with some ideas. We decided to play musical chairs with the kids but use hearts instead of chairs. I alsovolunteered to make a pinata. Not sure how many of you have ever made a pinata, but I remember the last one I made was I think my sophmore year in high school for a fiesta for my spanish class. All I have to say is I probably won't ever make one again. It took me about 40 hours to make the darn thing. Yes it was cute after it was all said and done and the kids had a great time hitting it and getting the 9 lbs of candy after wards.

The pinata
Had to go with the whole Valentine theme so its kind of cheesy looking but the kids had fun with it.
Dawson turns 6
Not sure where the time has gone. Can't believe it has been two months since I have last posted anything on my blog. It has been a crazy winter to say the least. Dawson turned 6 the middle part of February. I can't believe it has been 6 years since we brought him home from the hospital. We had a family birthday party one weekend and one night after school we had 13 5 & 6 year olds in our house. Crazy if you ask me!!!!! Dawson had a blast and I had the joy of making 2 scooby doo cakes. Dawson and all of his friends enjoyed it so much.
The cake was a huge hit and took forever to make. Oh well, its all worth it if it makes Dawson happy.
