Rock the Shot has a photography challenge this month and the photo has to have something orange in it. You can find more about that here http://www.rocktheshotforum.com/2012/10/08/october-photo-challenge-something-orange/ I took this photo about 2 weeks ago and it happens to be one of my favorites.

I would love feedback on this picture. No editing was done to it at all. This is exactly how it came off of the camera.

Central Oregon fires+smoke=BEAUTIFUL sunrise

I walked downstairs this morning to grab a cup of coffee before I headed back upstairs to take a shower and I looked outside to see what the weather was doing and the sun caught my eye. It was the most BEAUTIFUL thing I had ever seen. The yellow color of the sun was overshadowed by the purple/pink/orange colors. I love how the yellow is showing on the top crest of the sun as well as on the bottom part of the sun. Fire and smoke are a bad thing, but when they produce a sunrise like this, I could look at that forever.

Welcome to our family Baaz

We have had Baaz for almost a year and a half. He is a 4 year old full breed boxer. He is a joy to have as a pet. The boys love him to death and Baaz is so patient with them. When he is laying down the boys can crawl all over him and he just lays there and occasionally will lift his head as to say "hey what are you doing". He loves to chase the sprinklers when they are on and he loves to play fetch with a ball. We are SO thankful Baaz is such a good fit for our family.

Thank you Baaz for being our boys best friend!!!

Kk turns 7 and the boys get their face painted

On Wednesday after I got off work we got to go to Redmond and celebrate the 7th birthday of a very special little girl Kaydence. Her and Dawson met in Kindergarten and have become pretty good friends. ( I think Dawson has a crush on her to be honest with you). Being it was a party for a little girl the boys had the option to have their face painted and their fingernails painted as well. Dawson chose the football player black marks and well poor Easton really didn't have a choice lol. Two of the older girls took over on Easton and he had his whole face covered with paint. Next thing was painting their fingernails. They both chose black and Easton got some orange on his as well. We all had a great time. Happy birthday Kaydence, we love you!!!

Dawson and his face and fingernails. He was mighty proud of them lol

Easton wouldnt show me his fingernails but you can kind of see what they look like. Poor kid had fingernail polish all over his fingers lol

Sorry I thought I had a picture of KK but not sure what happened to it. Just know she is CUTE!!!

Easton is potty trained at 2 1/2

Isn't it amazing how stubborn toddlers are? I started working with Easton on potty training when he turned 2. I was over the whole diaper thing and thought if I could get Easton potty trained then we would all be much happier. It took him a couple of days to get the hang of peeing in the toilet with some accidents as well. Number 2 was a different story. He did fine if he ran around the house naked. He would pee in his little potty chair and I would make a BIG deal out of it and he would get a special treat. Not long after I thought I had him potty trained did I start working full time and the routine changed. After 6 months of trying and working with Easton he is officially 100% potty trained. Both ways too!!! So proud of him. He got to pick out some pretty awesome Sponge Bob underwear because of his accomplishments.

Trying something new

My sweet husband bought me a Nikon D3000 camera for Mothers day and let me tell you, I have truely found my passion. With that said, I am going to start submitting my pictures to different photography websites to see what kind of feed back I can get. My first weekly photo challenge is going on at Iheartfaces

I LOVE this picture of my son and his buddies. They all get along so well.
