The Month of Luv

My friend Tiffany had this on her blog so thought I would do the same thing.

I've seen this around and thought it sounded awesome. So this is how it works: The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a handmade gift or something from the kitchen from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise. There's a small catch...You knew there would be didn't you? Post this on your blog then come back and leave a comment, telling me you're in. Remember, only the first 3 comments (or will it be the first 5???) receive a gift.P.S. If you didn't make it fast enough to be one of the first 3 comments...that's ok, leave a comment and post on your blog anyway and continue the fun!!

Dawson is 5

My oldest boy Dawson turned 5 on the 17th of February. He was so excited for his birthday to come that he would ask everyday if today was the day for his birthday. I finally decided to put a smiley face on the calendar on the day of his birthday and every morning we would go to the calendar and mark the day off with an X. That way Dawson knew how many more days it was. He got a nice new bike and $20 to pick out whatever he wanted from Wal-Mart. I was kind of sad with the big "5" coming up, because really this was the first big milestone. This is the age where he will go to kindergarten and is at the right age to start playing sports like soccer, t-ball and wrestle. I hope we can find some programs around the area for him to start getting involved in that kind of stuff. It seems just like yesterday literally that I found out I was pregnant and going to the hospital to have him. Its crazy how fast time flies. Happy Birthday Dawson!!!!!

Easton is 2 months old

Not sure where the time has gone. I can't believe that Easton is 2 months old already. Seems just like yesterday I was getting ready to go to the hospital for my c-section to have Easton. We took him to the doctor for his 2 month check up and the little stinker weighs 12 lbs and is 24 1/2 inches long. He is in the 50th percentile for weight and 75th for height. Easton rolled over at 6 weeks. That was the first big milestone. He has started smiling now when we talk to him and is such a joy to be around. He has rebounded nicely from being in the hospital and no lingering effects.

Easton at 1 month old

Easton turned a month old on January 2nd. I know sorry for posting this so late. I am a bad blogger I have come to find out. We had an exciting first month with Easton in our family. When he was 17 days old he decided to turn blue on us. We took him to the doctor and was immediatley rushed to the emergency room where they thought he had pneoumonia. He was immediately surrounded by about 17 people in the emergency room and was started on oxygen. We were then rushed by ambulance to St Charles in Bend to the pediatric unit where we stayed for 6 days. He was on oxygen the whole time and while there he was diagnosed with RSV which is a viral infection of the bronchial tubes. It was the scariest time of my life. The doctors in Bend were AWESOME!! I couldn't have asked for anything better for my 17 day old baby. He got to come home on Christmas day. It was the best Christmas present ever. We have all adjusted well with Easton in our family. Big brother Dawson has been great with Easton. He is the first one to run to Easton if he is crying and will talk to him and try to put his binki in his mouth. Its really cute to watch
