Easton turned the BIG 1

Easton turned 1 on December 2nd and had a great first birthday. Since his birthday fell on a Wednesday we just celebrated at home with mom, dad and Dawson and of course Easton. He had a good time watching Dawson opening his presents then playing with the wrapping paper. He got spoiled rotten by mom, dad and Dawson. On the following Sunday we had a family/friend birthday party and it was a fire truck theme. I made a fire truck cake
and it was a big hit. Easton did a great job eating his cake. He was very dainty when eating it and only got his hands and face messy. All in all it was a great party. I can not believe that it has been a year already.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY EASTON!!! We love you

Wow

It has been a crazy busy 6 months since I have posted anything to my blog. I hope that everyone had a great summer and is ready for the holiday season that has rapidly approached.

We have been very busy here at the Richter household. Dawson started kindergarten in September and absolutely loves it. He goes to school from 8-2:30 Mon-Fri and is doing great. He has a great teacher and has made some life long friends. It is just Easton and I at home during the day while Dawson is at school and Paul is at work. It has taken some adjusting to it just being the two of us.

Paul decided to join the Crooked River Ranch Fire Department to become a volunteer fire fighter. He loves it and is doing great with it. He has just finished the fire academy. I am thankful that he is done with it because it has required him to be at the fire station every Saturday for the last 3 months. The boys and I sure did miss him but are glad that he is going to be home now.

I have been busy running the boys here and there. I also have been busy selling Scentsy Candles and having parties occasionally. Cooking has become a favorite past time of mine and I have found lots of great recipes online that have turned out fantastic. We always get tired of having the same thing so it makes it nice and much more enjoyable to cook when it is something different or a family favorite.

I am going to post new pictures of the boys. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you all have a Blessed Thanksgiving!!!!

I am "SCENTsational"

Do you know what Scentsy is? If not I am about to tell you about it.
Scentsy are flameless candles that are kid and pet friendly and smell absolutely scentsational. The wax is warmed by a 25 watt lightbulb and gets as hot as parafin wax (what you dip your hands into). If you would like for information please visit my website here. I have been a consultant since April 1st and I am having a blast. The product sells itself and the rewards are endless. So if you are looking for extra income or want to stay at home, please contact me. I would LOVE for you to join my team!!!

Easton is 5 months old

Easton is 5 months old now and trying to crawl already. I am so not ready for him to be mobile yet. He is so cute. When he is laying on his tummy he gets his knees up under him and is on his fore arms. I know it is only a matter of time before he is completely mobile. I keep telling everyone I would be totally ok with him staying this size forever. He is at such a fun age. He laughs and giggles all the time and is always smiling. We are so blessed to have Easton in our lives!!!

Easton is 4 months old

Where has the time gone? I can't believe that Easton is 4 months old already. Thankfully he is an awesome baby and hardly cries at all. He went to his 4 month check-up and he weighs in at 16 lbs and is 25 1/2 inches tall. He can now sit up by himself for a few minutes and rolls over from back to tummy and from tummy to back. He has been doing the rolling over since he was 6 weeks old but I keep forgetting to mention that.

Easton is 3 Months Old

Sorry for the delay in posting. I have come to learn that I am a horrible blogger. I wish I could be as efficient as other people where they are posting something every day.
Easton is now 3 months old and what a joy he is to our family. Dawson just loves his little brother so much and doesn't get irritated or mad when Easton is crying. It is sweet to watch the two of them together. Easton LOVES to watch Dawson and I am sure gets dizzy watching Dawson run all around. This month Easton has started eating rice cereal and so far seems to like it. I can't believe that he is old enough to eat baby food. He surprisingly likes applesauce over bananas.

The Month of Luv

My friend Tiffany had this on her blog so thought I would do the same thing.

I've seen this around and thought it sounded awesome. So this is how it works: The first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive a handmade gift or something from the kitchen from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise. There's a small catch...You knew there would be didn't you? Post this on your blog then come back and leave a comment, telling me you're in. Remember, only the first 3 comments (or will it be the first 5???) receive a gift.P.S. If you didn't make it fast enough to be one of the first 3 comments...that's ok, leave a comment and post on your blog anyway and continue the fun!!

Dawson is 5

My oldest boy Dawson turned 5 on the 17th of February. He was so excited for his birthday to come that he would ask everyday if today was the day for his birthday. I finally decided to put a smiley face on the calendar on the day of his birthday and every morning we would go to the calendar and mark the day off with an X. That way Dawson knew how many more days it was. He got a nice new bike and $20 to pick out whatever he wanted from Wal-Mart. I was kind of sad with the big "5" coming up, because really this was the first big milestone. This is the age where he will go to kindergarten and is at the right age to start playing sports like soccer, t-ball and wrestle. I hope we can find some programs around the area for him to start getting involved in that kind of stuff. It seems just like yesterday literally that I found out I was pregnant and going to the hospital to have him. Its crazy how fast time flies. Happy Birthday Dawson!!!!!

Easton is 2 months old

Not sure where the time has gone. I can't believe that Easton is 2 months old already. Seems just like yesterday I was getting ready to go to the hospital for my c-section to have Easton. We took him to the doctor for his 2 month check up and the little stinker weighs 12 lbs and is 24 1/2 inches long. He is in the 50th percentile for weight and 75th for height. Easton rolled over at 6 weeks. That was the first big milestone. He has started smiling now when we talk to him and is such a joy to be around. He has rebounded nicely from being in the hospital and no lingering effects.

Easton at 1 month old

Easton turned a month old on January 2nd. I know sorry for posting this so late. I am a bad blogger I have come to find out. We had an exciting first month with Easton in our family. When he was 17 days old he decided to turn blue on us. We took him to the doctor and was immediatley rushed to the emergency room where they thought he had pneoumonia. He was immediately surrounded by about 17 people in the emergency room and was started on oxygen. We were then rushed by ambulance to St Charles in Bend to the pediatric unit where we stayed for 6 days. He was on oxygen the whole time and while there he was diagnosed with RSV which is a viral infection of the bronchial tubes. It was the scariest time of my life. The doctors in Bend were AWESOME!! I couldn't have asked for anything better for my 17 day old baby. He got to come home on Christmas day. It was the best Christmas present ever. We have all adjusted well with Easton in our family. Big brother Dawson has been great with Easton. He is the first one to run to Easton if he is crying and will talk to him and try to put his binki in his mouth. Its really cute to watch
