He's Here

Easton Dean Richter was born December 2nd at 8:05 am by c-section. He weighed 7 lbs 10 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. I was in surgery for about an hour. He came out with a set of lungs and the whole time he was in the operating room with me while they cleaned him up he was screaming so loud. We got to come home last Thursday and he so far is a really good baby. He only cries when he is hungry, getting his diaper changed or having a bath. I am sure all that will change eventually. His big brother Dawson is totally smitten with him. Dawson came to the hospital around 11 with my girl friend Cary and the minute Dawson walked into the room, he looked at daddy and said "where's my baby brother, I want to hold him". It made me cry. He so far has adjusted really well, and asks to hold Easton every day. Not very long, but atleast they are bonding.

Its almost time

I have 2 weeks from today until my c-section. Easton Dean is scheduled to be born around 8:30 the morning of December 2nd. As the time draws near, I am getting both anxious and very excited. I can't wait to meet him and see what he looks like, and see what Dawson's reaction is going to be towards him. I think Dawson is going to do just fine with Easton. He is such a compassionate child and asks everyday when his little brother is going to be here. We are also moving next Wednesday so that could be part of the anxiety I am feeling, but for the most part, I am eagerly awaiting December 2nd and meeting the newest member of our family!!

My baby all grown up

Dawson finally mastered the task of riding his bike with no training wheels. It took him about 2 weeks to get his balance figured out and feel comfortable enough to start pedaling. We were told to lower his seat all the way, take off his pedals and remove the training wheels and just let him walk his bike while sitting so that he could find his balance. I thought it was a great idea and it really did work. He just got the hang of it last Saturday and on Sunday he was pedaling and standing up all at the same time. Talk about giving mom a heart attack. He is going to be my dare devil child which could be good or bad.

2 months?

I can't believe that it has been 2 months since I have last posted anything. There have been lots of exciting things going on at the Richter household. I am now a stay at home mom, and love it so far. I get to spend so much more time with Dawson and my husband Paul. We have been busy getting little Easton's room ready for him to come and Dawson has been a great help in that area. He asks me everyday when his little brother is going to be here. He is so very excited and I just hope that the excitement doesn't go anywhere. I know that he is going to be a great big brother and can't wait to see his reaction when he sees Easton for the first time. We have about 5 1/2 more weeks til we get to meet our little guy and we are looking forward to it.
I have just started my own online business. I am now an independent HerbaLife Distributor. It is a company that sells weight loss and nutrition products. I am in the final stages of the training process and can't wait to get it up and running and hopefully bring in lots of money. That is all that is going on with the Richter family, hope all is well with you and yours.

Updated Ultrasound Pics

Here are pictures of Easton that we got done today. We had to go back to the doctor to make sure that the cysts they found on his brain a couple of weeks ago were gone. Thankfully they were gone and as you can see, we got some great pictures of our little guy. He weighs 1 lbs 6 oz. The ultrasound tech was very pleased with what she saw and said that we have a healthy little boy on the way. We are anxiously awaiting Dec 2nd as that is when he will be here. After looking rather closely and people telling me, I think that Mr. Easton is going to look alot like his older brother Dawson. Sorry for the flash on them, that was the best I could get

New Hair

So I went and got my cut and colored the other day. When I got to the salon I decided I was ready for a change. So I had my hair stylist cut 6 inches off and we went from blonde hair to a dark brown with blonde and dark purple highlights with some layers. I LOVE my new hair and get a ton of compliments on it.

Ultrasound Pictures

Back in April my husband Paul and I found out that we are expecting our 2nd child. We were very thrilled with the news although it was a shock. I was 7 weeks pregnant when we found out and I have just hit the half way mark. I am now at 20 weeks and look forward to December every day. We found out that we are having another little boy. It is quite exciting. Dawson is thrilled to have a little brother and we all 3 can't wait to meet him. His name is going to be Easton Dean Richter. We go to the doctor this Thursday for a fetal echocardiogram just to make sure that Easton's heart is ok and there are no defects. I am looking forward to seeing him on the ultrasound screen again.

Look at him go

Dawson has just recently become a little fish in the water. We have lived out at the Crooked River Ranch for the last 4 months and we go to the swimming pool here on a daily basis. He was always afraid of getting his hair wet or water on his face. Within the last week he has become unstoppable in the water. He loves to play shark and do all sorts of "tricks" in the water. It is very cute to watch and I am very proud to be a mom of such a fearless 4 year old.
